Large-scale Russian Attacks Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were bracing for more assaults.
